TOPIC: Newbie - First Drag Race

Newbie - First Drag Race 6 years, 6 months ago #476

Finally got my car to the track for my first drag race and the car's first too.

Timeslip (Car 150): www.cywareinc.com/images/time.jpg

I don't think I'm launching the car very well, delayed takeoff possibly because of the track bite. It jumps a lot faster in the street. Any suggestions aside from using brake torque? Car is automatic.

Also, just stepping on the gas till I reach the finish. Will manually shifting (triptronic) help?

Video of the actual race:

Manually shifting will do better timeslips....try not to stage your car tires on the track bite surface, maybe it can take off much better.
